This is sort of a second hand story but I think it's funny.
I was having dinner with my friend Carrah tonight. Carrah is from New Olreans and has been living in NY for 3 years now. She moved up with 3 friends from home and they all still live together.
Right before they moved up here, though, they came up for New Years. They spent New Years Eve in a bar on the upper west side getting extremely drunk. They remember dancing on the bar, taking off their shirts, not much else.
They woke up the next morning in their hotel and Carrah's friend Nicole STILL didn't have her shirt. This is January in NY. It's cold. In her hungover state she blamed Carrah and accused her of stealing it. They went back to look for the shirt at the bar. Nothing. Gone.
So when Carrah moved up here she went into the bar a bunch of times because she was familiar with it. She eventually got a job there and still works there today.
Well last week they were doing a massive cleaning of the whole place. Every employee was working and scrubbing top to bottom. After cleaning the bar they removied the faux tin roof that hangs over the bar (to give it that "love shack" feel I guess) for cleaning. Well BEHIND the tin roof, STAPLED to the ceiling, is Nicole's shirt.
Life moves in circles sometimes.
