Ok
It's been long enough. Time to put some new bullshit here.
Things have been slightly insane due to the things that life hands out in one's time here on this planet. The longer you stick around the more bad shit you have to deal with. I don't mean that as a downer. Just as a fact.
My best friend's husband just died of cancer last week. The funeral was last friday night in Greenwhich, CT. "Fun" is the wrong word to use, Definitely the wrong word. But it WAS good to see all our friends again. You know what they say about friends being the family you chose. Well, that's bullshit.
Just kidding. It's actually really true. And it's what spurred me to write people who I haven't talked to in a bit. Yay funerals!!! And it was just good to see my Tara out of the hospital- which is where she's been living for months at her husband's side. This was not a surprise. We all knew it was coming. And in some ways it may be a relief to her. In fact, we actually got Tara laughing pretty hard at the end of the night. Not sure how we pulled that off. Kicking the darkness until it bleeds daylight.
Then at the end of the night my friend Megan drove our drunk friend Junelle home (she was doing us all a favor. believe me). Junelle got out of the car without looking and another car took Megan's door off!!!
Megan tied her door back on (No kidding. It was hanging by one hinge) and drove herself home with the constant "bing! bing! bing!" sound the car makes when a door is ajar the whole way home.
Good times
Anyway, in non-morbid news, I've been really happy to make some new friends on this site lately. Autrum, Marlene (who has a great set in member review), Hanke, and the incredibly lovely Ryker. Thank you, guys, for keeping this site interesting for me after all these years.
