This makes me incredibly sad:
]Rolling Stone's 40 Reasons to Be Excited About Music
I grew up with Rolling Stone. At one time it was an indisputably great magazine. They wrote "articles" about "music" and "musicians". And now this is what they give me. The Black Eyed Peas are the most exciting thing in music?? Really?? Paying $200 to see U2 in some fucking stadium? Sting's daughter?? Are you fucking kidding me? THIS is what Rolling Stone is excited about????
I've seen at least 30 really great bands in the last year alone. I work 15 hours a day and I've discovered some amazing music lately and seen a bunch of great shows. NONE of those bands are in this magazine except for The Gaslight Anthem (who I LOVE) and MGMT. How is it that this once great music magazine is so far off the mark now?
God this is depressing.
