So this is my Thanksgiving thought: when I was a kid we were in a Thanksgiving play were we played turkeys . We sang "Gobble gobble gobble gobble I think I should run away/gobble gobble gobble gobble on this thanksgiving day"-obviously referring to the fact that they were going to be eaten. And all the kids were dressed up as turkeys. Very cute.
But if you think about it for just a second, you're asking kids to identify with an animal pleading for it's life so that we don't kill it and eat it's flesh. Which we do anyway.
Isn't that wierd? Why do we do that? I kinda think it's funny.
