Damn straight! you seem to be fairly aware. Nostalgia is not only empty, but it carries so much false, retrograde baggage. An opium; used cynically, in a pavlovian manner, often engineered so tightly that putting dorky nostalgia into a film or whatever elicits a calcuated, laugh-track like emotional response in X% of a given demographic. This has to be one of the key ingredients in so many Hollow-wood schmaltz recipies.

i had a dream and you were in it. I was in S. Carolina and we met up to do some shopping and we kept finding all these great deals on peek toe shoes. I found this pair of baby blue suede ones that just looked so faboo on me. You got these peach colored ones that had little white flowers on it. They made you look like an angel and smell like peach pie.

be aware of those isolation tanks, i just found out i've been (still am) in one for years! it has a weird appearance, so it took me a while to recognize: it covers my flat, my studio, the wholefood shop and the theatre i work in, as well as the ways between them (i fell into the habit of taking the same ways all the time). it has some portholes from where i can see parts of the outside world, from time to time familiar looking faces appear, babble strange things and disappear again... i think i already have a neat escape plan ready, let's say three days after new moon at the bank with the three oaks? hope you'll be there!
