Guy #1: "I just wanted to say that you're the hottest girl here."
Me, laughing: "You're sweet to lie, thanks.
Guy #2: "No, seriously, you look really good compared to everyone else."
Me: "Oh, wow, that's a great compliment. Everyone else here is ugly, so you're actually looking okay."
Guy #2: "Well, almost everyone here is a guy, so..."
Me: "Wow, this keeps getting better. 'Hey, I'd rather do you than a guy.' That's great to hear."
What the fuck? I was actually in a good mood until that. Then I got in a bitchy mood and all my friends started pissing me off. Guys are fucking idiots sometimes. If you have to end a compliment with a qualifier, maybe just don't say it.
The one really cool thing that did happen though was that for the first time ever I didn't get charged a cover at the bar. I guess that means I'm a regular now. It made me happy, except then I felt bad because there was a bunch of drama and the bouncer had a horrible stressful night and even though the two had nothing to do with each other, somehow I felt guilty, because I should have been nicer or more appreciative or something.

I can't believe what people say sometimes.
They were likely just so blown away by your hottness that it turned the language centres of their brains to jelly. Poor unfortunate souls.
