When I was just 13 years old I used to be obsessed with buying those girly magazines...you know...the ones with all those beautiful models and celebrities with the most perfect bodies and faces and perfect hair and teeth. I envied so much just how perfect they were that I wanted so badly to look the way they did. I used to get so upset at how I thought I looked and would have days where I would even stop eating all together causing upset to the people around me. This went on and off for pretty much years. The problem is...every form of media from magazines to now especially social media displays a standard of beauty it believes we should all look like... @wimbornephotography shot this pic for me as i think it strongly portrays exactly what I wanted to say to you all. We are surrounded by so much fake beauty that we start to believe that unless we look a certain way we are not also beautiful. This has obviously been a huge issue for absolute years. But sometimes we just need a big reminder and I just want to put it out there that YOU do not need to conform to society standards in order to realise that each and every one of you is beautiful. Because it took me 30 years to actually like what I see in the mirror and if I can even so much as help just one person to see the beauty in themselves without having to wait that long than I have succeeded. So let's not focus on the things we think we don't like about ourselves and instead focus on the things we do love because I promise you that you are beautiful in so many different ways. If you can't find it, I will sure as hell find it for you!
