So, recently I read an article about kids and the internet and a new app and parents needing to keep their teenagers in line and blah, blah, blah. I had computer access taken away from me when my parents found out I had a MySpace page because of internet strangers, so I'm always interested in reading stories about other strict parents as a comparison. The app they were complaining about was my new favorite app (because of this website): Periscope. Periscope is an app that is connected to your Twitter account (no Twitter, no Periscope. Sorry they are not sorry), and you're able to sit in or stream your own live cast. No nudity is allowed on the app, despite all the people asking "tits?". However, you, as the viewer, are able to double tap the screen to like the cast and have a little colored heart pop up on the screen, or make a comment/ask a question. I've never made a cast on Periscope before, so I don't know how it works exactly on the other end, but they see your comment for the shot time it's on the screen, and it goes away.
Now, once I found out SuicideGirls were streaming the remaining Blackheart Burlesque Canadian tour shows, it was downloaded faster than any one I remember being on the edge about. I've never been able to go to one of the shows, and I can't decide wether to make the roadtrip to Columbia or St. Louis, or even Lincoln (ladies, if you need any help during those Midwest shows, holla at ya girl, so of course I didn't want to miss any chances to see the Stormtrooper, Lara Croft, and especially the Dirty Mermaid dances. Since then, I've been able to sit in on a couple other awesome SG webcasts. So, here's what brings me to the topic of this weeks @bloghomework brought to you by the lovely @rambo and @missy : What kinds of things would you like to see SuicideGirls doing on their live Periscope streams?
I love when there are Q&A's, but I've never been good at asking questions. I overthink them way too much, and usually once I have one I think is awesome and could get an interesting answer, someone else has popped up with it. My favorite question ever is a would you rather, and I've already asked it twice and the last thing I want is to be known as the viewer who asks the same questions every time. One thing I would love to be apart of would be the beginning and/or ending of a shoot, if someone was willing to let some viewers look in on their work. I've always been interested in comparing the beginning and the end of a project, since there are only so many things you can do at the beginning. In the end, you have that confidence and high of working on the latest project you love. Another subject I would enjoy would be watching any girl working on or previewing some cosplay. I love the things girls these girls are able to come up with, and have been on the fence about getting into it. Instead of having to Google something and possibly misread or just get confused, the questions and answers are just a text bubble away.
The Blackheart Burlesque show has amazing dancers. I would love to someday actually be in the SG Headquarters. Rambo is a doll. Hell City looks fucking rad because of those ladies. If you love and want to get to see more of these awesome ladies, get Periscope. It's well worth it.
And for anyone who wants to answer my Would You Rather question: Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or one horse sized duck?
