so i think my apartment will actually be clean before i go on my trip home. it would be nice not to have to do it when i get back.
it's been such a gorgeous weekend, it's too bad i didn't make the most of it. hopefully it will still be pretty for a while when i return.
by the way, i'm going home to georgia for a few days for my niece's birthday and to spend some time with some old friends, or at least one old friend.
i picked up the new tom waits cd yesterday. haven't made it all the way through yet, but of course it's good. he does seem to be getting less and less accessible, not that i'd say that was a bad thing.
i have to return a library book today, wayyy overdue. maybe i can find something to read on the plane if i can't sleep that is. any recommendations?

i just got the new tom waits too, and i have to admit that i was really disappointed with it. i've never felt this way about any of his albums before, i am such a huge fan. i just think it's kinda boring and there aren't any songs that stand out. i'll listen to it a little more though and who knows, my thoughts on this could change...we'll see.
