Ah. One more day and I'll have one of those balloons next to my screen name.
Still don't know exactley what I'm doing for my birthday aside from going out for Chinese food with my mom, grandparents, and great aunt in the afternoon. Hopefully I can pull together a bar crawl.
I got invited to some Democratic Party function in Manhattan tomorrow, so I'll have an excuse to wear my skinny black tie and "Not my President" pin.
The BBQ yesterday was a resounding success. There were so many empty beer bottles that they wouldn't all fit in the recyclable pail.
Then we went to Cargo Cafe for trivia night, but our team didn't win.
The humidity is fucking killing me, and my mom keeps insisting that air conditioning isn't necessarry, just open the windows and let the breeze come in.
Yeah the humid breeze. It's supposed to rain tonight. I can't wait.
Visited my grandparents this afternoon, which is always fun. My grandfather has been talking more and more about WW II every time that I've seen him lately. Today he told me how he brushed his teeth with sand for roughly 2 years straight because they had no toothpaste and that by the time he got back from the war his teeth had rotted so much that he just had them all yanked out and replaced with false ones. I don't think I could ever be that tough.
I've only hit my favorite pizzeria once so far. I think I'll have to pay them a visit tomorrow for a couple of slices and an egg and pepper sandwich.
All in all, the vacation has been going pretty well so far.
My mom's been cooking up a storm for me. MMMMMM. Zitti with cheese and sausage and meatballs.
Come to think of it, I think I'll go raid the fridge for a midnight snack.
To everyone in LA who might be reading this that I might be missing (hopefully they know who they are): I miss you. Lots. Call!
Ok time for cold zitti.
