Mike Watt & The Secondmen @ the Black Cat.....
So this is like the umpteenth n' one time that I've seen Watt play in one configuration or another. A lot of different experiences over the years.
Such a heavy piece, this one! It made for a very intense show at times, for sure. Moments that were damn near Free, Difficult, very difficult listening. Probably not too many ears won over tonight, though there for shit sure were some folks who were eatin' it up (for sure). I was one of 'em.
After the show I gave him a picture of Kira with a little message from her (that papa helped her with just a wee bit). He's such a dear about all this, and the energy he puts into puttin' out is easily probably twice as much as what he puts into playin' the show (and man, that's sayin' somethin'). Such a dear, dear man.
God I'm a dork sometimes.
