I don't know what the final straw was, but I'm finally feeling 100% better. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, read the last journal, and maybe the one before that (which is considerably shorter than either this one or the last).
And I didn't even have to run, though I suppose I probably should anyway. I just stumbled across an old picture of ThePirate from almost a year and a half ago, and either he's developed a very gradual eating disorder since then, or running has really had a dramatic effect, because he's practically unrecognizable in the picture.
Anyhow, I'd been having moments where I'd feel a bit better all weekend, only to descend once again into lethargy and stress. I don't know whether it was the fact that most of the stress factors of the past couple of weeks have been resolved as of this morning (by which I mean Monday morning), or if, as Trilobyte suggested, I really was simply low on vodka, but after I got home from Unravled and MisterSatan's BBQ earlier tonight, I sat down and opened up Anika's journal to bug her about not being at the BBQ. Her journal had a question about favorite cars in it, and I went off looking at some auto-makers' web sites and looking at cars and whatnot. I was still a bit drunk from the BBQ, and this was a nice distraction. But seriously, it was the first time in a week that I've actually done anything online that didn't cause me stress on some level. I spent a good three hours or so looking at cars and playing around with different companies' car configurator web-apps (the most enjoyable, by far, was the one on the Mini web site), and by the time I was done, I realized I felt great...happy, alert, awake, relaxed, and in a generally good mood.
Rock.
