Last week was insanely busy. Here's a recap:
Monday
We had a meeting with a client that made them a lot happier, and might lead to some more work, and we finished getting a dedicated server running for a client, after spending all weekend and most of Sunday night getting it set up, with some help from MisterSatan even. It was a long, long day.
Tuesday
Tuesday I attended the most chaotic dinner event I've ever witnessed. Shalome and I had organized the weekly SGLA Tuesday dinner, which was to be in Long Beach last Tuesday. We had planned on the 15 people who rsvp'd showing up at 8:30 at Tequila Jack's. What we didn't know was that Tequila Jack's had just changed to their off-season hours, and when we went in to get tables at 8:50 (after people started showing up) they informed us that they were doing last call and would be closing in 10 minutes. So we quickly came up with a backup plan and ended up over at the Rock Bottom Brewery. Thankfully, the staff there were wondeful, because our 15 people ballooned to nearly 40. It went really well though, and it was great to see everyone and have time to socialize over dinner and drinks. Shal and I went with a few other people over to Rae and Midian's place afterward. Those kids rock.
Maxx and I went walking in search of alcohol late, stopped by a gay bar on Broadway for a shot of jaeger, and finally happened upon the last open liquor store.
Wednesday
Another hellishly busy day at work, followed by drinks in Hollywood, after which Maxx introduced me to my new favorite taco stand, Cactus Tacos #1 on Vine.
Thursday
Spent the day writing contracts, my least favorite part of my job, trying to get a contract over to a client that night. I didn't finish it in time, and wound up at an arcade to see Autrix off before he left for the UK. I strained my arm playing 6 games of air hockey, and was only beaten once, by Autrix.
Friday
By Friday, I was exhausted. I worked my ass off and then crashed out for a bit, then got up and had a nice relaxing evening at home with Shal.
Saturday
Moved a bunch of stuff over from the old house (yep, still getting the last little bits of things), put together a wardrobe for all my clothes (Shal already had one put together, which EricAllen and I lugged up the stairs), and then Shal and I went off to go paintballing with SGLA. It was a decent time, good to see everyone as always, but the venue sucked ass. It might have had some potential, if the management there was at all competent. Then late night Cactus Tacos once again w/Maxx, Troublemaker, ThePirate, and Shal.
Sunday
Slept in (yay!) and then relaxed for a bit (yay!) before going out for Karaoke w/MisterSatan and friends. I sang twice!!! Good times.
I love my friends.
But I need a break.
I don't think I'll be going out for a few days, at least.
