Yeah, so what do I get for passing on the Mac version of a new game in order to get the Windows version, hoping that that way, Shalome and I can both play (I, on VirtualPC)?
The damn thing doesn't work on either machine.
Fucking hell.
Edit: It seems I have not explained the situation very clearly. Let's try again. Shalome and I have both been big fans of the Sim games over the years. I wanted to get SimCity 4, but seeing as she's on a PC and I'm on a mac, I didn't want to have to get two copies, one for each of us. Luckily (I thought), I've got VirtualPC on my mac. So I got the windows version. I had some doubts that the windows emulation on my mac would be able to keep up with Sim City 4, and sure enough, those doubts were realized. I thought for sure, though, that it would at least be able to run on the windows box, since it was made for windows. Alas, however, it being windows, the game crashes not terribly long (4 or 5 minutes) after starting on the PC every fucking time, even after installing all the patches. So instead of having one working version on my mac, we now have zero working versions...because windows sucks.
In other news, she and I got the Buffy Season 6 dvd delivered to our doorstep today, so we pick up where we left off a couple months ago after we finished watching the first five seasons, in order.
bean!

i.e. what i mean...i'm 15...so this queen thing's illegal. (said 40,000 times in three days after viewing episode with commentary [best part of commentary: the origin of dawn's clear backpack])
you do know that the phrase "i've got a theory" will now be ruined for you.
client: i have a theory...
you: a dancing demon? no...something is not right there.
client: no...i think our main database is corrupted.
when someone borrows money:
them: how can i repay...?
you: whatever.
my personal favorite best line is from Giles during "Walk through the Fire": "what's it gunna take to strike a spark." genius delivery!
you have no idea how many emails from my Buffy buddy that ends with the expression that there will be ample time at the end of an event, i.e. "and still have time to get a soft shoe in".
p.s. how awesome is Hinton Battle?!
