Never enough time,
we get wings from the red bull,
and our sleep suffers.
-------------------------
For all of last week, my head was on kinda crooked. I was having a hard time making sense of the world, not in a philosophical sense, but in a serious perception malfunction sort of way, and conversations were really difficult for me. I think it was a bizarre condition brought on by anxiety and uncertainty, but I'm right in the head again this week, and I've been doing wonderfully.
Recap:
Saturday was the concert, sunday was recovery from the concert and associated goings-on, then anxiety, and recovery from the anxiety...all that has been said before...
Monday I took Shalome up to meet more SGLA-folk and see The December Stars play at the Silverlake Lounge (which, according to Poopydave, is an actual hipster factory, an idea with which I concur). The band was great, but the set was too short. Afterward I got food with Shalome, Eris, DigDug, Poopydave, and Aron, and had a great conversation about oddities, absurdities, and travesties in the socioeconomic and political aspects of american life. It was refreshing. It made me a little sad that I didn't get to meet Eris until she was archived, because she's a really cool person.
Yesterday was the beach party (pics coming soon)...Fun, friends, fire, sand, water, and alcohol...what more could you want? Then several of us went up to club Mannequin @ Que Sera in the LBC, yet another supercool night spot within walking distance from my house.
New wave and 80's music + $2.50 really good rum & cokes + Fun people =

Random quotes from Tuesday:
"Is it big enough?"
"Oogabooga!"
"Oh shit that's hot!"
"...and I'm teh Band-Aid, you fuckface!"

Everyone go console Knickers, her cat is being put to sleep.
