Things are good. I'm hoping that if I post smaller entries, the next 39 days will pass more rapidly. Ok, no I'm abandoning that idea. For some reason, it's hard for me to post really short entries.

Last night I walked down to the beach near my house for the first time since I've lived there. It was around midnight, and despite the lights from the harbor and the oil rigs and whatnot, it really was beautiful. I walked along the beach right up next to the water, under the full moon, found a spot where there were no people in sight, and sat for about an hour. For awhile it looked as if the moon was a hole punched in a great black tarp because of the way the clouds gathered around it and were illuminated. I finally left when the screaming police cars and helicopter knocked me back into reality, but not before I saw a pair of shooting stars, which really made my night.

Going to see Idiot Stare at the Knitting Factory tonight with Dolorian. Should be a lot of fun, those guys kick ass.
