Hey people. This is actually my first post I suppose. Im not sure what to say and stuff but here goes nothing.
So we finally got our boat into the water after spending countless weeks working on it. And I have to say, its pretty damn fast. The speedo stopped working so I have no real numbers, but with the new gps ill get some hopefully next weekend. We left out of the Connecticut river and headed over to Long Island, NY for the weekend. Theres a pretty neat bar/restaurant on the pier that you can dock your boat at and hang out. It actually was the largest spot for rum ruinning during the prohibition days (history is kinda cool). Anyways, we started partying and dusk was coming quick so we decided to stay the night. After freshening up a bit (not much really, a hat and hoodie) we continued to party the rest of the night. After a rather drunken walk back to the boat, I passed out on the floor of the cabin since I didnt feel like cuddling with my buddy. The next day we took off for home and hit some pretty rough waters. The sea was angry that day...... We made it back fine and dandy after being stopped by the cops for thinking we didnt pay for docking thr night (that got cleared up and we're all good). Almost back to our marina and we hit a nasty wake from another boat, which killed one of thr two engines. Limped over to a shallow area, dropped anchor and found the issue. One wire from the kill switch popped off; fixed it and on our way. Wicked tiring weekend, but fun. This weekend we got a few more things to fix, and hopefully big partying again next weekend.
