The lovely Robin has indeed arrived.
I woke up at 4:30 in the morning, partially because I had gone to sleep early the night before... partially because I was so excited. I cleaned and got dressed... ran a few last minute errands, then it was off to the airport to pick her up. We only had to wait about 20 minutes or so before she arrived, and it was so great to see her! She's so pretty. I know I had seen pictures of her, but they don't do her justice. She's totally sweet and pretty and everything I expected of her (and more).
We went and checked her into the hotel, then headed back to my house so she could meet my dad and my dog. Then we were off to grab some soda and just drive around a bit and talk. Then it was back to the house to watch a little tv and make some calls. We went out to eat and met up with my friend Andrew, then went for a brief visit to the pool hall... I forgot my stick so I was playing BAD.
Anyway by this time, it's getting dark, we got a late start on the day and we were/are VERY tired. A little more tv and laying around then we drove her back to her hotel and said goodnight. I hope she's having sweet dreams.
The day might seem a bit uneventful, but it's only the first of five.. and we were both just exhausted from all the preperation. Tomorrow we're planning on going to the zoo and cooking out on the grill - I'm sure some other things will arise though. Even if it's just heading to Best Buy or a gas station... it's with her so it's bliss.
I think it's safe to say I'm in love.
A few things happened to ruin my otherwise happy, albeit sleepy, mood. She got a phone call, wrote an e-mail, and made some comments to avoid saying things about paul her boyfriend. But I caught enough to become a little sad. I heard her say I miss you too, I love you too... all while walking into my house for the first time, literally. She got called as we pulled in. I guess I had just hoped for a little more us time. She's my best friend but I'm afraid to get too close cause I don't really trust myself to not say or do something. This chick is just too special to me and it eats me up seeing her with another guy. She's good about it... she always does her very best to spare my feelings on every occasion. But it's in my nature to know, and it always hurts me. I just wish she could have been single for her trip. She knows I love her and she has been on and off with her feelings for me for years now. I really wish I knew what she was thinking. She doesn't look me in the eyes much, I think she's shy. Either way she's adorable. And I'm not complaining because other than being so sleepy, the good has outweighed the bad, and it looks like it's going to be a really wonderful week.. even if I'm feeling a little down... the sunniest days have shadows too.. this is just one of them that I have to deal with. I would appreciate advice though... it's something that's very important to me and at this point I'm drawing a blank.
I'll be posting every day to tell you all about what we did and update stuff. So you better read this and send me comments. This is big stuff people. Big big stuff for me.
