Here's what I did.
I cancelled my SG membership yesterday. I was having one of those fits of financial distress while at work. The realization of living a summer of leisure and minimal work (hence, minimal income) caught up to me. I was determined to downsize. I'm a homeowner again, and I have enough to worry about, I decided, so it was time to trim expenses.
I also got hit with a 500 dollar cell phone bill. Things must change, said I!
The reason I first subscribed to this site -- naked, pierced and tattooed women -- was no longer a draw. I can't tell you the last time I looked at a set.
The reason I've resubscribed over the last few months -- newfound cyber-friends in the SG community and their often witty, always entertaining (hey klaire!) daily updates and sweet pics (that'd be you, stitch2) -- would, well... be missed. Sorely.
But I've been a right shitty internet pal the last few weeks. I haven't updated regularly. I haven't commented. I could give a lesser shit about the groups I used to post to religiously... So maybe I've reached my blogging expiration date.
The wise folks at Suicide Girls seem to anticipate these moments of crisis and prepare accordingly. When I submitted my "cancel" request, I received a notice that my account was scheduled to be terminated at the beginning of October and, if I want to re-subscribe at any point before then, all I would have to do is click on to the provided link and I would be right back in, no questions asked.
I'm already re-considering.

Oooh. You should hook yourself up with some sort of free internet presence, because I really like seeing what you have to say. About, you know, things.
