The second in a daily series of simple-things-that-make-me-unreasonably happy:
Track one on The Shins Chutes Too Narrow, Kissing the Lipless. It sits in my clock radio/CD player and provides the perfect wake-up routine for an otherwise anti-morning kind of guy. First the handclapping (who wouldnt want to wake up to applause), the gentle falsetto of James Mercer cue quitars viva electricity and bam. Singing in the shower.
Sure, I could have made my own CD and hand-selected an opening track that would work for alarm purposes, but finding out that my work has already been done for me is, well, priceless.
The rest of the CD kicks ass too.

I think the key difference is that Eddie colored himself on BEASTS, and most certainly not in Captain America. I couldn't even tell you what was going on in the second issue of that story.
I used to get unreasonably happy when my crystal spider would throw rainbows across my kitchen, and they would dance on the walls. So lovely. I really do enjoy the simplest things. Makes me wonder why I am here...oh yes. Flight from prosecution.
