Today is my Friday. In a few hours I will be driving to Oregon. I'm fucking thrilled. I've been itching to get away, to get moving, get anything and anywhere as any as possible. Any any anyway. And every passenger in the car will be subjected to this little gem.
Brilliant fookin' idea that started as an On-the-Go iPod playlist and came together as a 20-track celebration of repetetiveness, handcuffed melody, and mouth-emulated instrumentation. Right now, at various places around this vast land, at least a dozen voices are singing "child stars" over and over again all slightly off-cue from one another and the spherical perfection hits God, gee-oh-dee himself, square in the grizzled, stubbly chin, eliciting that smirk, the knowing grin, the ultimate in exclusive, untouchable indierockness. That's why God is so good. The have-you-heard of the untouchable, unreachable. Can I play a small part? Can I play a bit part in your life? Do it for me. Sing it with me.
Folks, friends, family and current trends all suffer or surrender. If you ever had plans on spending any kind of time in my car, may I suggest the if-you-can't-beat-'em-join-'em club. Peel the post-paint, helloooooo everybody! Do it for God and do it for yourself. I'll send you a copy; we'll go driving.
