Interesting few days...
This past weekend I photographed my first wedding. I wasn't the first choice, and I didn't at all feel prepared or properly-equipped, but it was an emergency, they were friends, and, after all, I was getting paid. Hard to say no. In any event I learned a lot about patience, lighting, batteries, wedding cake, timing, and how to calm the people being photographed when you're probably more nervous than they are.
I was happy with the end results. The mother of the groom was happy with the end results. I haven't heard from the bride yet.
I'm meeting with a lawyer today to deal with the suddenly-not-so-silly lawsuit filed against me. Lawyers make me less nervous these days given the fact that I have seen a number of my friends and acquaintances working toward the career themselves and, well, if they're going to be lawyers... lends some humanity to the profession I suppose.
I get to leave work early. That's always good news.

Rooting for you of course.
And should you ever need to suddenly escape the country, you've got friends here in Vancouver. And a place to stay.
Meanwhile, you should come visit us. Speaking of, I'll be in LA next week visiting the lovely LizaRose - perhaps we could connect for a drink?
