Yes, yes, yes. I found some entertainment this weekend. Mostly involving yucca (which is kinda like a margarita only WAY, WAY better) and mint juleps of course in honor of Kentucky Derby, I have a special nostalgiac fondness for the Derby. I look forward to it every year. This year was no exception, and the horse, Barbaro, won by 6 1/2 lengths which hasn't been done in over 50 years, so that was pretty exciting.
In other news, one of my good friends is splitting from her husband and I can't help but feel the aftershocks. It is strange to be on the edge of a relationship that is falling apart. Especially when you are friends with both parties and especially when you have seen it coming almost as much as they have. I feel torn because I don't want to take sides and to be honest, there are no clear sides to take anyway. In this case, no one wins.
P.S. Because I need to shake off the heavy thoughts of failed relationships, I am going to refocus my focus to the fact that I have been feeling the creative bug nipping at my butt lately and I really think I need to get back to painting or photography. I've just got to find an outlet for all this creative energy.
