Lyrics running through my brain...
She says "wake up, it's no use pretending
I'll keep stealing, breathing her.
Birds are leaving over autumn's ending
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes 'round the yard
She says "If I leave before you, darling
Don't you waste me in the ground"
I lay smiling like our sleeping children
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes round the yard"
Actually, I am feeling very lyrical today. A conversation about poetry and writing last night has got me thinking. Today, I am hooked on the sounds of words and syllables. I keep getting hung up on certain sounds. Several years ago I started a wordpool, or a collection of my favorite words. I revisted that today to see if it would inspire me. It always does.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Metaphysical
Maelstrom
Idiosyncrasies
Tumultuous
Catastrophe
Magnanimous
Tintinabulation
Symbiotic
Anachronistic
Morbidity
Serendipity
Squirrel
Dandelion
Cumulus
