My company gives out awards, on a national level, to branches and on-sites throughout the year. The awards are called "Hot Branch" and "Hot On-Site of the week." The qualications for these are based off of different metrics such as budget, order fulfillment, employee retention and client satisfaction. The prizes for each award escalate with every one acquired.. and because we've won our 6th this year, we're being inducted in to the "Hall of Fame". Normally, this would result in a trip to corporate for a "ceremony" and a fat bonus but we've recently learned that our company has been bought out. The process won't be complete until end of February, and I am not in fear of losing my position because of how unique our business is (our sister branch may be cut or consolidated with a branch of their former competitors). Our new parent company is in Cinncinnatti, OH and our current is in Little Rock, AK.
I would MUCH rather go to OH than AK... and we didn't hit budget in Q4 and aren't eligible for our normal bonus, so the extra-money would be nice.. but because of all the new changes I would honestly be grateful for a lunch at Jason's Deli and a plaque.
