Calloo Callay Come Run away. We're savages and kings
Saturday evening became an impromptu Tequila Rock God Night as I invited some friends over and we played Guitar Hero II, drank tequila, I prepared a shmorgesborg of tasty food, including the garlic shrimp and tequila, the beer braised steak tips and tequila, baked brie and sauteed sun dried tomatoes and tequila, and tequila ... and tequila.
It was a rocking good time that ended at 4 am when I finally had to kick out everyone. We watched two episodes of Lost since the drivers needed to boil down a little bit.
It won't be the last Tequila Rock God Night.
Monday: Went to dinner with and friend and geeked out hard-core. He's doing a pen and paper RPG in the Star Wars Universe - shortly after Order 66 was given (this is a story about Jedi's on the run yo!) So of course I didn't play a Jedi. (because all good Jedi story's need a scoundrel gun bunny) (oh and we drank tequila). We had a great moment of walking into the restaurant and the waitress said "hi, long time no see." which was the second time I'd gotten together with this particular friend and we had gone into a restaurant and the waitress had greeted me personally. My friend was like, "um I've lived in this neighborhood 8 years and people don't know me like that!" To quote Tank Girl, "I'm SO PRETTY"
Tuesday: going rock climbing. Taking the beginner course with a friend. We'll go to dinner. He doesn't drink, so there will not be as much tequila tonight.
Wednesday: Jedi hunted game-play. There's three blokes and the GM. I'm not too impressed with the other two fellas yet. But I should keep an open mind.
Thursday: Pick up table at Ex's with an optional "let's do dinner"
Friday: house warming party for a friend in the South End. Man their lil brownstone makes me green with envy. Roof deck, decks on each floor. Three floors. A 2 bedroom. An awe inspiring kitchen that tries very hard to eat my lil kitchen (but would fail) It is too bad she's married. Or I'd have a bigger crush on her.
Saturday: unknown, but it wont' be as cool as _sock_'s Saturday unless something unexpected happens at the house warming party.
I've decided to invite folks over for Thanksgiving. (I do have this dandy kitchen after-all)
It should be a hoot.
Day 2 of going to the gym and trying to eat more healthy (with the occasional lapse into tirramisu heaven)
