My good friend came in from out of town and I played hookie on Thursday and Friday and hung out with him instead of being a good doobie at work. So he showed up at 12 ish pm on the night of my birthday. Everyone had left the dinner party by then, and the group of folks I had invited back to my place (so I could feed them ice-cream and blueberries and hang out with them a little more) had also left. The Capirinas had boiled down in my system and my friend was pretty sure that the Logan Express wasn't leaving anymore so I went to go pick him up.
Of course to my chagrin, there was a ton of Masspike construction going on, so it wasn't a straight shot in, nor a straight shot out from the airport. But he came over, and I cooked him some food, and we cracked open the tequila and so begins the 2 day pleasant tequila buzz!
Hanging out with friends can be great! We played some Guitar Hero, watched some Lost, hung out, talked about life, played Eve, had a bunch of other friends over for 12 Monkeys and Brazil, enjoyed more tequila, and ended up in Somerville to have great burgers at R.F.OSullivans (good burgers!)
I dropped him off in Somerville around 2ish in the afternoon, made my way home, and took a nap till dance time later Friday night.
I looked up the address of my friends in the South End. I wrote down the directions. I even wrote down which unit they lived in... and left without my phone and when I got there realized that I had NOT WRITTEN DOWN THE STREET NUMBER. Luckily someone was outside on the phone so she waived me in.
we had yummy Italian food. It was me and three women, two of which are married (and are twins). The third (we'll call her Jill...) was a occupational therapist who lives in the South End. She also is a twin, and enjoys ballroom dancing on the armature circuit. (she's pretty good to dance with). She was a joy to touch.
I've come off of my tequila buzz so I'm going to invite folks over for "tequila rock-star Saturday" which is to say we'll play Guitar Hero and drink more. (sounds.like.a.plan!)
The current crush is in Sweden for two months. (time she'll need to get over her divorce, and maybe come back to Boston looking for some quality dating time)

So there you have it!
I'm going to drop some body fat in the next two months (a challenge since it is Winter and the hard-wiring is saying "store it up incase the spring doesn't come!" Time to go back to the gym!
