Recently I have been told by 2 people I am putting on a bit of weight, (how dare they)

MMMMMmmm weighed my self and I am a stone overweight frown

I have started cutting back on calorie rich food and drinks, no real hardship yet

Out
11 am biscuit/slice of cake/Mr Kipling treat

No more butter margarine on my sweetcorn

No more beer when watching football on TV

Snacking except on fruit

Bread

I think being disciplined at the supermarket, ensures the above are adhered to, you should see what other people buy around here, they spare themselves nothing regarding food and drink.

More fruit mainly apples and bananas

Orange juice when watching football

one main meal a day

Cracker-bread, Ry-vita

I think its a good Idea to weigh myself as often as possible, but there are better times than others to weigh yourself, like when you get up, and errrr after you have been to toilet (I wont dwell on that)

It appears I have already lost some weight, I just have to be disciplined


I spoke to one of the instructors at the gym, he advised me that your weight was not the be all end all indicator of health, (mind you he was a bit tubby) due to body shape, build and muscles. He went on Blood pressure and heart rate were just as important indicators of health, so whats more important looking heathly or being healthy.

GCR at work advised looking at the main two ways people lose weight:
i)Exercise
ii) Watching what you eat

The amount of exercise you would have to do is vast, therfore the best way to lose weight is watching what you eat

the beer and football thing would be hard for me to give up , but its the summer now so no games for a couple of months , that should be a good insentive to begin with

i go to the gym , but do find it a real pain at times
