I received a letter from my friend Guy in Ireland, he wants me to pop over there in the spring, I think I will accept.
last time I was over there, I stayed for 6 days, I did not want to outstay my welcome (I checked with my friends at work, and the general opinion was if i stayed over 7 days, there was a chance i could outstay my welcome ) , I remained on my best behavior, and on the last night I took guy and Lisa out for a meal at one of thier favorite restaurants, thus sealing my return ticket always leave them wanting more,
We did loads last time, As Guy and Lisa live in Kerry, its semi rural and has lots of hills mountains and beaches,
I recently saw in a magazine an article on a bike ride in the hills, but it all takes place at nighttime, this got me thinking.
one thing I would to do love to this time is a moonwalk, regretablly not for charity, just a roam in the hills under moon light, I am aware this is subject to the following constraints:-
Moonlight, (loads last night) I will have ensure my holiday ties in with a full moon
Maps, are they rendered useless in the night (hard to find refernce points)
State of path, dont want to keep falling over
Will have to get Guy interested I am not going out in the hills on a full moon by myself
I would love to navigate by torches, a big powerful one, and hopefully see loads of wildlife, and enjoy the romance of moonlight.
