My GADH life is crazy. Here's to a new year! for once, I actually have some new years resolutions. In years past, ive scoffed at the thought. I'd say things like "oh, it's just another day. If you want to change something, just do it." or I'd say something about societal pressures vs personal pressures and how youre more willing to follow through with something...

Your  New Year's Resolutions sound great. I wish you luck with them all, especially with the weight gain. You're right: no one ever talks about that or allows others to talk about it because the focus is always on losing weight. You can do it! <3 I also hope I can see you in 2018, since I didn't get to for 2017 <3

It has been an insanely crazy month! Right now I am going through my photos, so I will post a much better blog post about my trip to North Carolina once I get re-settled. But what I will say is it was the most amazing trip, a super romantic get away for my boyfriend and I to celebrate 10 years together, and just the most...

A Least We Dig Each Other...

Went out with my bestie last night to see Incubus (again) and as always, it was fantastic.

Incubus is one of those bands that I hold very near and dear to my heart. Brandon Boyd got me through some tough times and was the soundtrack to some of the best times. Seeing them live always makes my heart flutter.

Once every couple of months i am hit out of the blue with an anxiety attack. I feel my anxiety every day, in achy muscles, overthinking, headaches... but these anxiety attacks just suck the life out of me and i usually never see them coming. I had one tonight. Home alone around 6pm. Just hanging out watching Star Trek DS9. Pretty typical day off. I...

Please look up and try Autogenic Training, Progressive Relaxation, in general meditation and deep breathing. Your body will learn how to relax quickly. Regular physical exercise is helping too. Always be well.
softnsweet:
Physical exercise and perhaps some CBT to help with negative thoughts etc.

it has been 8 solid years since my last vacation of any kind. Hell, in the past 8 years, the closest thing i've had to a vacation is staying at my sister's house for a couple nights on the cape. But the last time I went anywhere farther than MA for even a night was when I went to Montreal after graduating high school for...

Thanks @catdad! Me too

It is a great opportunity to get out of MA and Charleston is a very cool place with a different take on the Civil War and a lot of history.  I think planning trips is overrated. I consider it a vacation just when I cross the sagamore bridge!

I've decided to do some blog homework, since I saw @rambo post the new topic, and it's been on my mind lately.

She asked what's on our summer reading lists, and I admit, sadly, that I am not as much of a reader as I used to be. I did however, just pick up a copy of The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test finally.

It's

So I have a bit of a dilemma. This will take a bit of set up before I get to the issue at hand so bear with me a moment while i "set the scene".

About 2 years ago, my boyfriend and I started a savings jar. At the time we had no specific plans for it, but we decided to use it to treat...

What @timjimmy and @catdad said. Delicacy is key without proof, especially since it could be one of two people. Roommate is (probably) the most likely candidate, but without proof, the fact is, you don't *know*. I also endorse the idea of a lockbox. Or, you could do what my brother and his wife do--every couple of weeks, take whatever you've set aside, whether it's just a bunch of change, extra bills--$5s, the stray $10 and $20--and deposit them into a savings account. Actually, what they do is shave off 10% of his paychecks, and whatever her tip money is for the night (she delivers pizzas as extra money twice a week and every other weekend), and they watch it grow. They've put away almost $4000 in the last 7 months since they started doing this in Jan. Just a thought.

Speaking for probably a lot of guys, subtle hints do not work.  I either don't recognize them, or ignore them, because they can be easily mis-interpreted.  How about, "Hey, you know that change jar we had?  A lot of bills are missing from there.  Do you have any idea what might have happened to it?"
