Nice pun. But I did masonry. Most of the cutting I did was actually by hand with a Partner saw. I remember cutting some expensive cap stones once and my cut was slightly off. Got my ass chewed. Another time I set my pants on fire cutting rebar. Hmm, my leg sure is getting warm. Oh shit. I was a young lad.

Hope your travels went well. I read your Shenzhen blog, and I'm glad you got in some tourist time. Sometimes work trips seem to be about... well work, oddly enough.

SD dates are 10/20-10/23. Extracurricular dates TBD. Was thinking of taking the weekend before, but it would also be convenient to run a 15K that weekend if subsequent weekdays are more valuable for travel. Either way.

I have some Spanish - actually an embarrassingly great amount of Spanish, which I have tended poorly - but it is quite academic. I think it would be enough, given the proximity to the border - surely more would be better. Business Spanish? Not so much. I could work on it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mandarin was useful.

We, on the other hand, have had our second rainiest June ever. This is not what I signed up for when I chose this state.

I never bothered to clean up my list, aside from removing jerk wads that somehow made it through. The worst part? I don't really use the site enough to care anymore. I barely post at all. I still read the blogs of people I know, but almost never leave a comment. Glad that hasn't adversely affected our friend status here.
