- Rewrite, reprint, and mail off player handouts to beta testers in response to feedback.
- Task above: Interrupted. Need to run out to grab envelopes. Also take time to set beta testers address labels up to print easily in the future.
- Get in touch with
CharlieLove with some difficulty. Her home net connection is dead and so is her phone. I need to get the printed materials from her so they can be lasered out ASAP. We finally get in touch and set up a meeting tomorrow.
- Have game printing quote request conversation with LudoFact. Get my ear talked off in a good way. Warned of many mistakes publishing companies make when rushing to get things printed. Take copious notes. Rewrite notes. Forward notes to game artists.
- Meanwhile, try to find a good royalty-free song as background music for the kickstarter pitch video. My video editor has immaculate skill at editing sound, but is sending recommendations that aren't free and sound modern. I spend more time on a classical site catching up on music there, but am not confident that any of these will work, either.
- Pick up and cut replacement board stock for misprinted beta boards.
- Take photos of game props as explanations in rules wiki. Add photos to rules. Caption photos.
....and all the while, thinking about how I'm going to rewrite the kickstarter page, what I need to get the artists working on next, how to explain the art needed to the ones who speak Polish better than English, and most of all, how to address the issues the beta testers are finding in the game. After 10 months of alpha testing, there are still bugs I can't see in the game - that's the whole point of beta testing - to bring to light all the things I'm blind to. Once I've done everything I can do during business hours, gears change and I'm playing out possible game fixes in mind.
And that's the schedule for today, as seen from halfway in.
