I had an amazing birthday, best for years.
I usually feel like I fail in some obligation to have a good time at my birthday but this year it's been really easy to have a good time and lots of people seem to thrive on that which makes me happy which makes them happy. What's the opposite of a vicious circle? It was a bit like that.
Also, I got a ton of birthday greetings from you lovely SG members. Muchos gracias.
For a while SG wasn't floating my boat and I was happier to chat with the friends I have through the site on Messenger rather than through groups. It's hard to pinpoint what changed or when it happened but more recently SG is back to being the first site I check when I go on t'internet, there are lots of people writing things worth reading in their journals (or are they blogs now?) and the last few times I've been out with friends I've met here have been brilliant. It feels like I had to step away from it for a while to realise what I get out of it and then rediscover it but it's nice and it's relaxing to have realised that I'm really enjoying everything I do right now.
A brief summary of my birthday in food terms:
My banana mushed up perfectly on my toast at brekko; I arrived at the office to find my sister had sent a giant basket of muffins to me; I ordered a roll from the kitchen well after they're supposed to stop taking orders but they made it for me and I scoffed it at 1100h; I had a monster MYO sandwich at lunch and they had my fave fruit drink for the first time in ages; I found a dark chocolate bounty in my drawer around 3pm (didn't look at the sell by date, it tasted fine, everyone's a winner); my Mum made me a steak sandwich just the way I like it when I went to visit her; had some great chewy nutty bars after gym; just finished some toasted cheese (three types of cheese, malty bread, ages under the grill).
I note that I still have a bagel in the bread cupboard and bacon in the fridge so Friday is shaping up to be a good day in food.

I keep myself safe in being wary of all men, arsehole type behaviour or not. Probably cos most will change any type of behaviour for the chance of regular sexual intercourse with a girl they find a turn on and can actually hold a decent conversation with.

You too. S'ok....it was funny. And as I've said in his journal (blog/whatever), my word of the day is grapist.
