What a great week! I'm not letting a little thing like unemployment keep me down.
My unemployment checks are rolling in nicely but definitely are not enough to keep me in this $1300 a month yuppie ass apartment. It's time to downsize and go back to my own kind of people. I found a nice little two bedroom house in Tacoma. It's in this nice middle class, working class neighborhood. Huge yard, garden area in the backyard, detached garage for the motorcycles, etc. I should know on Monday whether I got the place or not. The short sale on my house in Tampa FUCKED my credit! Granted, not as bad as a foreclosure though.
I met with the adviser and financial aid office at UW yesterday while I was down in Tacoma. That went very well! I need to take some pre-req classes at Tacoma Comm College this summer in order to get into the program that I want. Oh yeah...I've decided to go back and finish up my BA. I'm going for a degree in Social Work and then get my Chemical Dependency certification. My goal is to work with 'at risk' and homeless youth. I finished up my application last night and got it submitted. The personal statement essay was actually pretty fun to write. The classes at TCC will be a good re-dip into school before starting at UW in the fall. The best part is that there is a very good chance that I will be able to remain on unemployment and not have to look for a job while I am in school. Went to a couple of workshops last week at the Worksource office where they went over the program. There is a slight chance that I may be able to get the state to pay for the classes but I'm not gonna push it.

Is short sale different from listing your home for sale at a cheap price?
Did you just have the one mortgage?
Was it a scary ordeal?
We have a big mortgage and a tolerable second. Should we keep up with the second? I didn't pay March's big one.
How long did you live in your house while you didn't pay big mortgage? At what point did you move?
Was it scary when you talked to big mortgage? Any tips?
I wanna rent again!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
