YAAAAYYYYY!!! I rode my bike for the first time in 4 months today!

She was a little balky being woken up after so long. I should have let her warm up longer than I did. She wouldn't stay alive unless the choke was out. But hell she started on the second kick. I love that old Triumph!
I puttered around downtown Ticky Tacky Town for a while. I had to see how she would handle and make sure I still remembered how to ride her! Once she woke up a bit and I was certain I wouldn't fuck up I took off the hills.
I have the best twisties near my house. Just beatiful twisting winding roads up in the foothills. It was cold out but nothing painful...more life affirming than anything. The sun was starting to go down behind the mountains so everything was bathed in this amazing red and orange light. I'm winding through the hilly roads, hairpin after hairpin, surrounded by every hue of gold and orange from the autumn leaves. The comforting smell of logs burning in fireplaces. Bike roaring between my legs.
I came out of the twisties and into a open stretch of raod and I gunned it. Just opened it up. No sooner had I done that than I see way off in the distance an old bi-plane coming at me. It dipped down within about 300 feet of the road and flew right over me. Words cannot sufficiently describe the surreal majesty of that ride.
I will go to my grave relishing the memory of today.
Awesome
