This blog homework is right up my alley. I have been to so many concerts over the years. Well, Since I moved from the country to the big smoke anyway. But when i was living in a country town, and got my licence, I'd travel to the closest city to a festival that no longer happens here in Australia. So here we go.
My first concert was actually a festival, all the way back in 2004.
Obviously I don't have pictures, as I don't think phones had cameras on them at this stage. But wow, what a line-up it was for my first ever concert. Metallica to close out the night was next level. It was such an epic setlist and I remember having tears in my eyes seeing them for the first time ever. Especially during 'Fade to Black' and 'Creeping Death'. The Black eyed Peas were incredible as well. They put on such a great live show.
This was the setlist from that show.
My last concert:This was also a festival, which I've posted about already. But it was Knotfest back in March. Slipknot, Parkway Drive, Megadeth, Bad Omens, Spiritbox, In Flames, Story of the year were all highlights. But for me, Slipknot were always going to be the main highlight. Their set was furious, it had so much energy and the crowd were going mental! I love Slipknot and have for 24 years. This was my 9th time seeing them, and it never gets old.
Slipknot's setlist from that night.
My last concert that wasn't a festival was, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were a bucketlist band for me, and I was so happy to finally see them. They played a lot of new stuff, but the hits were there too! Their musicianship, their improvisation skills and their energy (especially Flea) was next level! The sound was so crisp too! I hope to see them again soon.

My next concert:
Another Bucketlist band. I actually can't believe it's been 20 years since we were introduced to Evanescence. Fallen is such a great album, full of great 'goth' rock tunes. Amy Lee's has always been one of my favourite vocalists, so this concert will be π₯π₯π₯ I've watched some recent concert footage of them, and they still put on a hell of a show. So I'm excited!
Much love!
