I guess my birthday present from the universe is... a cold
This would be the 4th time I've been sick with either a cold or the flu since the end of November. I've never been sick so often in my life before this job.
Yesterday, I was coincidentally sent to a family that I worked for 2 Summers ago. The systems I do with the agency is for Microsoft employees that need back-up care and both of the parents work for Microsoft. When my boss told me she had a job for me with (nearly) 2 year old triplets in a certain city I just knew it was them. I asked her if their last name happened to be the same... "yeah, how did you know?". I worked for them as an extra set of hands for 3 months during the Summer when they were fresh out of the hospital and newborn size (they were preemies, so they spent about 7 weeks in the hospital). It was really nice to see the kids again. The last time I saw them was I think a little over a year ago (they were around 8 months I think) and they're 21 months old now. I'm really glad it happened this way because I don't know if I would have ever gotten around to seeing them again if it hadn't happened this way. I hope I get to see them again sometime soon.
A plus side to working for Microsoft people? A lot of them have pretty nice houses, and some of them have good views... like today (Tues) and tomorrow I have a really nice view of Lake Washington 1/2 mile downhill and all last week I had a great view of another lake (Samammish) about 1/4 mile downhill. The views make dealing with sick and cranky kids a little easier
