Last night I went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show with a few friends. I had so much fun. There's a theatre in West Seattle that does a midnight showing of it on the first Saturday of every month. I've known about it for a long time, but have never gone (and yes, I've seen the movie). It was terribly cold out, in the 30's, and there was guys dressed in drag and girls wearing next to nothing and standing outside for up to an hour and a half waiting to be let inside. I had jeans, a tank top, and a hooded, thick long sleeve shirt on and I was fucking freezing. I can't imagine how cold everyone else was. Inside the theatre, there's people in costumes acting out the parts on the stage in front of the movie screen while the movie is playing, everyone is yelling the snarky call backs, throwing rice, bread, playing cards and toilet paper. I didn't know the appropriate stuff to yell, but I caught on to some of it and did my fair share of yelling too
I'm definitely going to try to go again.
And then to finish off the night, we went back to my car and I was grabbing my stuffing out of my trunk to put back into the front. I set my bags down on the ground and my sleeve of CD's on my trunk while we said our goodbyes. Got distracted, grabbed my bags, got into the car and drove away. Barely 2 minutes late, I decide to change the CD and realize that I never grabbed my CD's off my trunk. Pulled over, checked my trunk... they're gone
Turned right around, watching the road as I retrace our path, feeling like an idiot. It was around 3am, so there weren't many cars on the road. Luckily, I found them in the middle of the street, toward the corner of the intersection where we turned onto the street from the parking lot. They got run over but somehow came out of it just fine, just a few marks. Yay
I can't believe how spacey I've been in the last few days. Friday was just bad
Here's to hoping it doesn't happen like this anymore!
