So, turns out it's not the flu again, just a cold. But it started really nasty as if it were the flu
The kids I was watching all last week (and tomorrow) had a cold, so it seems he gave it to me.
I work for a nanny agency, but I don't like the way they do things. The family I was working for all week wanted me to babysit 2 nights while they go to Christmas parties, but I'm suppose to direct them to the agency in order to hire me. So they did, and then the agency went iffy about paperwork and confirmation crap. My boss was out of town, so the other main person at the agency was doing things that day. When I talked to her trying to figure things out, she basically made it sound like she didn't want me to do the job because that would give me overtime hours and she basically didn't want to deal with making the switch to overtime pay, and then went and told the family that I hadn't confirmed for the job. I'm just thinking "If my boss was in town, she would have given me the job because she knew I deserved it" (I pick up weekend jobs often because I need and want the hours) So I talked to the mom and basically told her "screw the agency, let's do this ourselves".
I found out that there is a H. R. Giger Museum in Switzerland. I've been trying to figure out what to do and see in Switzerland and it looks like I found something
This thing is on a wall outside the museum...

On a completely unrelated note, you're a March 5th birthday too?!? I don't really meet many people who are, so it's very exciting to me. That and I'm easily excited.
Best of luck finding all the joy in your job!
that makes sense with the agency. it really sucks that your boss didn't get paid like she deserved! god i hate that when it happens. i'm lucky to have a job where i feel like my bosses really care about how i am doing and who i am. that's really important.
amazingly, REI stopped being that place for me at the end.
but anyway, no sense getting focused on the bad in life, it's great that your job isn't very bad on you.
are you feeling any better? i hope so very much! being sick sucks.
