I started my job yesterday.
And I'm trying to figure out what to say when I quit.
I had been thinking on it since I got hired. I even got cold feet and didn't want to go to work, that's a sign in itself that somethings not quite right. Nor do I feel qualified for the job. The girl is darling and totally cute, she's not the problem at all. I finally listened to my thinking last night and realized that it's really not going to work out.
When I advertised for a new job, I said I needed 15 hours per week minimum. They e-mailed me offering 12. I thought I'd be able to get by with that plus the triplet family I still work for about once a week. Then I went for the interview and they said it looked like it'd be more like 9 hours. Still, dumbly, I thought I might manage it. Then they e-mailed me with the official hours and pay... 7 1/2 hours at $12. Which means I'm getting $90 a week, plus about $50 from the other job, which isn't always guarenteed. I need $100 available to set aside every week so I can pay for my tuition and books every quarter, plus extra expenses like food and gas and whatever else I need (I live at home and my mom pays for my car insurance, so I don't have to worry about that yet)
Not going to work out.
