How big a nerd am I?

I wanna learn to play the violin. So I started late in life, in my 34th year.

I'm using a book which is designed to teach small kids the first steps.

I'm playing this piece simply attributed to Offenbach. I realise four bars in it's the can can.

So the moment I get the notes down (the initial sightreading was flawless) I kick up the tempo and crank it out full speed, laughing and dancing up and down my hall, to the incredible bemusement of my kids and cats.
