It used to be that I would start packing for a trip 2 weeks before I left. That had disastrous consequences on one trip when I left my packed bags sitting on the floor of our living room & not discovering that they were there till the next day when we were 600 miles away in Boston.
So this time I'm trying to mentally pack for 9 days in Alaska. I have a nice pair of insulated overalls, boots, a couple pairs of Carharrt insulated jeans, long underwear, henley shirts & typical mens' undergarments.
I have to bring my camera and lenses, iPod, MacBook Pro, books for the flights, cell, earphones... Which reminds me, I bought a couple pairs of those noise cancelling earphones when Tweeter Etc went under last year just for a trip like this. My wife sold them on Ebay.
I am so glad to be leaving this heat & humidity. I don't ever want to come back here.
