So I get a call from my dentist's office a few weeks ago. They want me to come back up to have my crowns fitted. We settle on June 17th. I actually get a decently priced fare with Jet Blue & I wait. I called the dentist up on Saturday to ask if I could stay with them again. This morning I get a nasty voicemail from him telling me that I better have his money when I come up & oh btw sure I can stay with them. When we were first doing this he & I had discussed payments over time & he didn't have any problem with that at the time. I guess things changed on his end. Well I let my wife listen to the message & she said he was a prick & that she wanted to hit him. I called up a local B&B after determining that there weren't any friends that I could stay with & booked a room for three nights. its actually a place that I've always wanted to stay at but never had the opportunity. Harbor Light Inn I'm going to be in Room 34. It has a huge rooftop deck that looks out over the town & the harbor.

So I'm going to call the dentist back tomorrow & tell them that I've made alternate plans. This is also going to be the last time that I have any sort of contact with him again. Kind of sad that he doesn't value a 35 year friendship with me & my family, but maybe that's the path that he's traveling with all of his friends, I don't know. I do know that I'd never stay in his home again, nor do I want the pleasure/displeasure of his company. I'll do what I should've done in the first place & find a dentist down here. It sure beats traveling all the way up there.
