Well most of May has flown right by. Its been hot & humid here for most of the month. I had three massages & I'm looking forward to a two hour long one on 6/12, my birthday. Apart from the heat its been an austere month. We've been cutting back on expenses in every facet of our life. We had our eldest boy, his wife & son come down over Memorial Day weekend. He was picking up our '94 Chrysler Concorde. My father bought it new in '94 & it was a lemon a week after it left the lot. I gave my son a binder detailing every repair that the car had. There was also the owner's manual & a book about Lojack. After my father passed away in 2000 my mother drove the car till she died in December. The car still had my Dad's scent in it. The car was shipped down to Charlotte in 2001 & we drove it regularly till 2008. In the summer of 2008 some rogue electrical glitch forced the car to sit in the driveway for 8 months. We had our mechanic check it out & learned that all it needed was a new battery. The kids drove it back to Columbus, Ohio without incident. It'll be my son's car for commuting to culinary school.
I've been working pretty steadily this month & I had another sleep study a few weeks ago. Apparently the techs learned that I can't tolerate CPAP or BiPAP. My Dr. had gone ahead & ordered me a new machine & I refused it. The respiratory place is going to give me a new mask. I suppose that there'll be another sleep study to determine if I need a VPAP machine. This machine supposedly adapts to the user's breathing instead of being programmed. Any way you look at it, its a ventilator.
I've also been spending a lot of time on FaceBook playing Mafia Wars & Farm Town. I've really been neglecting SG but I do come & lurk & read friend's blogs & look at Tai & Riae's photos & videos. Time to get my mind away from the games & back with the people I treasure.
