Today was another day from Hell. Have you ever wondered what white trash moves on moving day? I have never, ever wondered about the answer to this question but I found out today. My wife & I rented a 16' truck to move her ugly sister & her worthless husband from Wilmington, NC to Charlotte, NC. It took about 4 hours to drive down there. When we got there someone was loading their van on a flat bed & hauling it away. The van used to be ours but they didn't take care of it & before they knew it they couldn't afford the repairs.
Apparently their idea of getting ready to move is radically different than anyone else's conception of the process. First off they lived in a camper for 10 years. This camper was about 6' wide & 18' long. They never cleaned the inside of it & they smoked in it. Everything that they brought out was crusted with nicotine. My wife told her sister that she could carve her name in the crust on top of their microwave.
The TV was white, at one point in time, now it was just filthy with a glaze over the screen. They had a lot of boxes, Rubbermaid containers, plastic containers of all shapes & sizes & huge ziploc bags. We managed to fit everything into the trailer with the help of a few youngsters from the campground. The husband was worthless. It took about 3 hours to load the truck, then another 4 back ro Charlotte. The truck is now in our driveway & we will be taking it over to their new trailer tomorrow morning. The trailer, from what I understand is a big step up for them. I'll try & post some pictures of it.
Anyhow that was my day, sitting in a truck & loading that truck with shit.
