The Photographer Dilemma (yes I actually titled this blog)
I need your help......
I've been on the site for a few months now and I'm finding this dilemma to become more apparent. As a hopeful photographer on the site you try to keep it professional and and under control, especially being a young male photographer. But this is obviously a different type of site. The profile questions asks you stuff like favorite sexual position and more.
So where does the line get drawn on how I use the site. There are hundreds of different forums and you enjoy reading the blogs. If I read an interesting blog about sex or strippers or something am I allowed to comment without looking like the creepy guy who wants to take girls pictures? Or do I still look like a photographer taking good photos who just found the blog interesting enough to comment?
So I come to you to ask the questions and help me determine how I use the site. As a young male who is a Hopeful Photographer should I keep the PC, strictly professional use of the site (ie clean blogs, hardly any information on my profile, avoid commenting on inappropriate blogs, etc)? Or do I feel free to openly comment on blogs and forum posts, write interesting blogs regardless of content, actually fill out my entire profile and enjoy all the site has to offer? And if I do enjoy the site for all it has to offer do I come off as the creepy guy looking to take pictures or can I continue to look like a professional photographer?
Feel free to be open and honest.....
Thank you,
Anthony

I don't know you from Adam, but if this blog def gave me the impression you are NOT a creeper. So I think you are safe. It will take time to earn one on one trust from members and SGs here. But stay active in groups, try to get out for local events and just be a nice guy. You'll build a rep that way. Feel free to hang your shingle out for being a photog, but let the girls come to you. Don't try to push or sell anything.
Btw, I popped in because I'm the 'owner' of UpstateNYSG and I was just snooping your profile. Typically you have to be in/from NY state or send me a PM explaining why you you wanted in. But you seem like a decent guy so let me know why a Jersey boy wants to hang with the rednecks of Upstate and we're good.
