Finally got around to posting a new blog. About time huh?
Things have been busy around here, and time just kinda slipped by.
I got my hair done. I have decided to go lighter again, but since it was so dark, it is going to take awhile to get there. It looks pretty good I guess. Just a transition colour and stuff right now, so there isn't the wow-factor that you usually get when you get your hair done.
Last weekend was the first half-marathon of the year. I was just over a minute slower than I wanted to, but I finished it over 2 minutes faster than the same course last year. Out of 640 people I was the 45th female to finish, so I can't complain. It was a tough race though. Next up is a duathlon in June, so started training this weekend for that. My first one, so I am excited about it.
Mother's day was good today, Shabs got up with the puppy at 6am and convinced him to go back to sleep, so I got to sleep in until almost 9. Then he made me omlettes and canadian bacon for breakfast. After a spin on my bike, we went out for lunch. This afternoon we took a hike on some trails near our house, then to the dog park with the kids and Griffin.
Here is Griffin doing one of my favourite things, the boxer head tilt.
Shabs is currently preparing to cook me some nice juicy steak for supper, my favourite!
My boys started soccer a couple weeks ago. Interesting trying to keep a 2 1/2 year old on the field, on the right field, and at least kinda pay attention to the game. haha. Oh well, he has fun, and it is entertaining for sure.
That's about as close to the ball as he got the first night
Shabs is coaching our 5 yr olds soccer team, and Jack is just thrilled about it. So cute.
My sister, who is 5 yrs older than me had her first baby last week. My nephew Finn Stewart was born on wednesday night. He was 9 lb 10 oz. Big Boy. My sister and the baby just came home from the hospital last night, so I am giving her some time to settle in at home before I go down and see her. Hopefully next weekend i will be able to go see him. He is so cute.

Well, hope everyone had a good weekend, and happy mothers day to all the mom's!!
