Time for my very first contribution to the SG homework! Here's a sensitive look into the mind of a prepubescent Banshie.
Growing up, I've had quite a few celebrity crushes, but the one that dates back the furthest that I can remember is without a doubt David Bowie; particularly Bowie in his role as Jareth the Goblin King in the movie The Labyrinth. LET ME TELL YOU, GUYS. He was foxy as all hell with that crazy 80's hair and, of course, those super tight pants that showed an obvious bulge (not that I payed any attention to THAT at age 5). I think it's safe to say that David Bowie played a huge role in my sexual awakening.
When I was 13, I had a major crush on Johnny Depp. I remember in the 7th grade, my class was assigned to do oral presentations based on biographies we had read, and of course I had gotten one on Johnny Depp. It was a breeze going up in front of the class just to talk about my favorite celebrity at the time. To this day, I still have this mini cardboard cutout of him as Jack Sparrow propped up in my living room (he's part of the family at this point) and a sketch I bought of him from the mall for $20. Although I'm not crazy obsessed with him anymore, I still have tons of respect for him as an actor.
I've had a few other crushes, like Gerard Way, Ronnie Radke, and even Harry Lloyd (he played Viserys Targaryen in Game of Thrones). I had a HUGE thing for Harry Lloyd for a few months. Currently though, and this crush takes the cake of all my celebrity crushes, I'm crushing on Jared Leto, actor and frontman of Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Don't even get me started on Jared Leto. I would let that man do unspeakable things to me, in addition to breaking my heart a thousand times. Last August, I had the privilege of meeting this beautiful human being at Camp Mars, and it was the greatest experience of my entire life. I plan on going again this year as well. I screenshot all of this man's snapchat selfies and save them in their own folder on my phone. Yup, we've reached the point of obsession here, folks! Just looking at him pulls at my heartstrings. Here's a photo of me with the band! Jared had his green hair at the time (and a severe lack of eyebrows) because he had just finished filming for his role as The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. He's such a babe.
I could go on and on for days about him, but I'll just leave you all with that.
