For HEP. I wish I could take the pain away.
Release by Pearl Jam
I see the world, feel the chill.
Which way to go? Windowsill.
I see the words on a rocking horse of time.
I see the verse in the rain.
Oh, dear dad, can you see me now?
I am myself like you somehow.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.
I'll hold the pain...release me.
Oh, dear dad can you see me now?
I am myself like you somehow.
I'll wait up in the dark for you to speak to me.
I've opened up...release me.

Eddie Vedder is singing this song to his father who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and died when Eddie was very young. He didn't know this man was his father until after he was gone, he only knew him as a family friend. My Grandmother has been rotting in a nursing home for over ten years suffering with multiple sclerosis. The first time I saw Pearl Jam was in 1995, they came out performing this song. That was an emotional moment. Only one other thing, beautiful person, in my life moves me more than music. His sound pulses through me with perfect tone and pitch.

ok, now to your entry ~ WOW. what a sad and lovely entry. pearl jam is so fabulous, and eddie vedder is one of the most beautiful humans ever ~ inside and out. i once read an article he wrote about his girlfriend's abortion, and it was so heartwrenching, thoughtful, poetic, and sensitive to every aspect of the situation ~ i was amazed. and that story ~ hard. MS is a horrible disease. i am sorry your grandmother suffered with it so long, and that it hurt you too. *hugs*
how lovely that a delightful person makes lovely banshee creatures feel well and good again.
