Wow. Over a month since the last post... Goes to show how intense lighting class got over the past two months...
Let's see, what'd we miss? Lighting class was amazing, History of Motion Picture Arts was very cool and informative, and Public Speaking blew... Not that I have a problem with speaking in public in general or even public speaking classes on a general level, it was just the instructors/format of the class. I don't feel like I've learned a damn thing or improved in the slightest from it.
Anything else? I made a short film, started pre-production on a short to pitch to some producers for a feature that's currently being written, and turned another year older. All in all, the past two months have held a few surprises, a few disappointments and lots of opportunity. I may be starting up with my photography side-work/hobby again, but this time for money (hopefully). I've also got a good prospect and contacts in getting my first feature off of the ground. This year will also hold a job working at the Dew Tour as a runner, putting me in contact with a couple of bands and possibly (not probably, but what's the use in not trying?) an opportunity to get my name into the music video world.
All in all, I'm pretty damn happy that I decided to finally tackle the school world, and I'm already a fourth of the way through it. This shouldn't be hard at all. Now, if you'll excuse my not-so-consistent-activity, I'm off to take care of cleaning the apt a little and working on a couple of scripts and a non-profit website gig that I do for the Denver Rocky Horror Cast.
